Well hello! And happy summer!
So it has been awhile since my last post and for that I apologise! But I have been travelling with my family for the past month and thought I'd share a bit of my travels with you all!
To begin my dad decided he wanted to do what he did when he was young with our family, go on a month long road trip through the west. Beginning in California we drove up to Las Vegas, then into Utah. Where we visited a few national parks like the Timpanagos Caves....
Since the caves are near Salt Lake City that's where we stayed and the next day we drove through some of the city and stopped at a few places like the capital...
For those of you who aren't knowledgeable about Utah the man who settled it became governor later. And he established Utah as a state mainly where people of the church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints could live, more commonly known as Mormons. Now while I don't follow the Mormon religion I don't think there's anything wrong with it other than the fact that the elderly tend to push the religion on tourists and others who don't follow it so when we did leave Utah I was relieved because I was getting tired of seeing so many large families!
Next we went into Idaho but briefly and then into Montana, again briefly, and for the main purpose of driving into Yellowstone National Park which is largely in Wyoming. Their is a lot of wildlife there but sadly we never saw a moose or a bear :( but we saw some other really amazon things like all the geysers and hot springs...
I labeled most of these photos for my reference when I scrapbook this trip and for you guys too! And when I do put together a little memory book ill make sure to share it with you all and how I did it!
After Yellowstone we went into South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse which is only partway finished...
Also HAPPY FOuRTH of JULY for you Americans! It's my favoriteholiday so I was especially excited to spend it there where there is a national monument and we also saw a parade and fireworks in a small mining town called Lead...
They shot off their fireworks over this empty mine hole so the sound echoed really loud but it was still amazing! We are still driving but soon we'll be home which in glad because then Ill get to see my cats!
Well I hope you are all enjoying an amazing summer! I know I am! And my new photography app that let's me make collages, if u haven't noticed... Well I'm also excited because tomorrow is my birthday and right now we're headed into Glacier National Park which in hoping I get to see a moose! Because they are one of my top 5 favourite animals! Well toodle loo!
